Reporting a problem? In the app, Settings → About → Send feedback opens an email with your app version and build details already filled in. You see the whole message before it goes, and you can delete anything you don't want to send.
My sign-up or reset code didn't arrive
Check your spam folder first. Codes come from no-reply@verificationemail.com or no-reply@nolelo.com, usually within a minute. If several tries fail, wait a few minutes before asking again: repeated requests are paused for a while to stop abuse. Still nothing? Email us from the address you signed up with.
“You've used today's AI allowance”
Each account can make 150 AI requests a day. The allowance resets at midnight UTC, and the message tells you the local time. “AI help is busy right now” is different: it means the service as a whole has reached its limit for the day. In both cases everything that doesn't use AI, including your reviews, keeps working.
Keeping a copy of your words
Settings → Export deck backup saves your words and review history to a file you keep. Nolelo is in beta, so please do this now and then.
Signing out, and moving to a new device
Sign in with the same account on the new device and your words sync across. Signing out removes the account's data from that device; if some of your changes haven't synced yet, Nolelo warns you first and offers to sync them.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete Account removes your account and everything synced with it. It can't be undone, so export a backup first if you might want your words again. If you can't reach the app, email us from your account's address and we'll do it for you.
Capturing words on the Mac
The capture shortcuts (⌥⌘D for a word) read the text you have selected, so macOS asks you to allow Nolelo under Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Nolelo reads the selection only when you press a shortcut. If a shortcut does nothing, choose “Allow Capture…” from Nolelo's menu-bar icon: it shows the shortcuts, what the permission is for, and whether it is on.
Privacy and terms
What Nolelo collects and why is in the privacy policy; the rules of the beta are in the terms of use.
